Some days can be difficult. Whether it’s a dream job rejection, your fave jeans aren’t fitting like they used to or you’re just feeling like you’re not good enough. It’s easy to look at other women and think; How do they do it? How do they manage everything so damn well?!
So often we don’t see our ‘true selves’ when we look in the mirror. We don’t see our smile after we’ve received a compliment from a stranger, or how much our skin glows in the lovely summer sun. To us, we see our imperfections rather than focusing on our own individual beauty.
We can be our own worst enemy.
It’s easy to fall into the habit of blaming and ridiculing ourselves, but it’s not healthy. We’ve curated our top ways to work on learning that lovely self of yours! 💖
Stop comparing yourself to others.
We only see a slice of what’s going on in someone else's world, and so often we compare apples to oranges and beat ourselves up about it. But it’s something we’re all guilty of.
One of our fave quotes is “We’re all climbing the same mountain, just from different sides” and it couldn’t ring more true. You are your own person, there is no-one else like you - so why change? Channel that focus on your own journey and the goals you’re reaching for. You’ve got this girl! 💪
It’s OK to make mistakes.
Even Superwoman has made mistakes - life isn’t about perfection - we can’t be the best each and every day, it's just not possible. In fact, accepting you’ve made a mistake requires a whole lot of self-awareness and maturity. Mistakes teach you valuable lessons and allow you to grow. You’re not the same person you were yesterday, nor who you will be tomorrow, so grow baby, grow! 🌱
You are so much more than your body shape.
Nowadays it’s hard to run from photoshopped images appearing on social media and in magazines. But here at G.Pump we’re here to make you feel GOOD in the skin you’re in! You should never feel defined by your size, curves, or cup size - there’s power in every shape and size we come in. So seize that power & flaunt it! Show the world who YOU are. 👏
Be kind to yourself.
Self-care is all about showing yourself how much you care for YOU! It’s not selfish and it shouldn’t be reserved just for Sunday’s. You can’t fill others cup when yours is empty so schedule in time to do something nice for you and celebrate some recent wins you’ve had. Reflection is such a powerful tool to fill your cup and show yourself exactly what you’re capable of. Some of our fave’self-care’ things? Take yourself out for a coffee date, read a book, run a bath, do a G.Pump workout (or invite your BFF to join you!), meditate or buy yourself something new that you’ve had your eye on … new leotard anyone?! 😍
Put yourself first and embrace new opportunities.
We’ve been tuned to think that putting yourself first is selfish, but it’s impossible to be there for others if you can’t be there for yourself.
Finesse the art of saying ‘no’ and listen to your body. Seize new opportunities that are presented, but you don’t have to say ‘yes!’ to them all. Take the time you need to become the best version of you. 💫
